Can you imagine how pleased I am that the lady decided to pick me for the Flickr Tag game "my oldest doll"?! - 03-2018
Please read what she wrote and what I was given on this occasion...
The oldest doll that still plays an active role in my collection is Uptown Chic Barbie aka Shauna.
I bought her in 2000 mainly for her pixie cut and her pretty face and she was the first posable doll in my collection.
From then on, the hunt for bodies with joints and the body swapping mania began. Shauna is no longer on her original body either.
In 2008 she received a small FR body from a Natalia and in 2016 a Tall FR Latino Replacement Body. But, seriously, the busty body doesn't really suit her.
That's why I briefly interrupt the writing of this text now and let her swap the body with a monogram doll. - Yes, so much better.
Shauna is by the way the one who travelled the furthest of my dolls. She visited America in 2004 and was allowed to attend Ro's legendary Camp Confetti on the occasion of Mary-Margaret's wedding.
I still have a lot of wonderful memories of this fantastc project and enjoy making international contacts through the hobby.

Before, I had a poseable Barbie-Body, but now I live on a expressive FR Natalia body (first generation). That's a much more elegant feeling now. Here I'm wearing an outfit which was created for my trip to Roville longtime ago. - 2004
